As a teacher of the Gospel, it is truly rewarding when the kingdom lessons you teach by the instruction of the Holy Spirit are received and applied in the lives of God's children. Each lesson is specific and if received in the proper way will unlock and progress divine destiny. The key here is that when the Holy Spirit reveals something to someone it is not just for that person to have HEAD knowledge. It is so that person can grow and flow with God himself and not just play with God's toys! Jesus by the leading of the Holy Spirit was always teaching his disciples in a progressive manner that would cause them to overcome self, (GROW) and then go with God where he wills. (FLOW) Grow and flow is a mode of operation in the kingdom of God. He expects us to operate by this method. This is the normal way to function for kingdom children. God wants to expose us to new dimensions of him, this is why it is so important to receive the lessons. If you don't receive the lesson, then you don't receive the dimension of himself that he wants to expose you to. It is by exposure that we learn and grow or wither and die. Exposure to God is life! In Mark chapter eight, Jesus warned his disciples to beware of the lessons that was being taught by the teachers of the world. He called their lessons leaven. (Mark 8:15) When he spoke this to them, he was telling them not to take the teachings of the world and mix them with the teachings of the kingdom of God. The two don't mix. They had been walking with Jesus for a while. They had seen with their eyes many works that he had performed. At this point in time Jesus by the leading of the Holy Spirit was shifting the kingdom of God into new dimensions that could not be infected with worldly teachings and his disciples used worldly reasoning to perceive that he was talking about natural bread! The response of Jesus was "How is it that you don't understand?". They were at a super important place in their walk with God and all they could think about was the natural bread . Jesus always knew that they did not understand the dimensions of God that he was revealing to them. But he also knew that if they could stop desiring the things of the world and desire God, then God the Father would reveal himself and give them understanding. Jesus saw how attached to the natural world his disciples still desired to be. He knew that he was going to have to shock them loose from their dependence on a dying natural world system that had control of their relationships, health, and finances. But first they had to see what Jesus saw every day as they walked together. To do this, Jesus healed a blind man in a way that his disciples had not seen before! Remember his disciples needed to see themselves. In Mark 8:22-26, the bible says that they brought a blind man to Jesus so he could touch him and heal him. Jesus took the man by the hand and led him out side the town away from the people. Now it is just the Holy Spirit, Jesus, his disciples, and the blind man out side the town. Jesus then spit in the blind man's eyes and touched him. He then asked him if he saw anything. The man answered " I see men as trees, walking."I think his statement caught the disciples by surprise because they had never seen Jesus touch someone who was not instantly healed. What happened? Did Jesus make a mistake and half heal the man so that his vision was blurry? I don't think so! Jesus on purpose opened the prophetic eyes of the blind man and allowed him to see spiritually the men standing around him. The man saw by the Spirit that the disciples of Jesus were functioning like natural trees, totally dependent on their natural environment. Jesus was saying to them thru the man that you desire operating in the natural more than operating supernaturally in the spirit. They had to desire Spirit so that God the Father could reset them from natural worldly mode to supernatural Spirit mode. Unless they began to think Spirit they could not go where Jesus was taking them. The same is true for us children of God. We can't go where we need to go with God by operating naturally. God is Spirit! He does not flow by natural rules. He bends and reshapes natural rules. So can we if we think and operate by his kingdom rules! The first rule of the kingdom is to desire him above all, even the kingdom! So children of God set your mind, will, and emotions to desire God. Then you will see with your eyes the goodness of God's kingdom taking control of your relationships, health, and finances. Remember, God says I see you. So lets be real and desire him for real! It's your time, use it well.
